A painting partly inspired by Van Gogh and partly inspired by Harold Gilman and the post Impressionists of the Camden Town Group of artists who were influenced by the French Impressionists, painting much of their work indoors, paintings of domestic scenes like this one in this painting.
I have returned to touch up this painting after starting it a few years ago. It is always good to return to earlier work and look at it afresh.
