This pastel painting depicts a tranquil still life, placed on a sideboard against a deep black background. A branch with vivid red berries lies in the foreground of the picture. The oranges bring a warm and contrasting color palette to the image. Behind the fruit there is a glass jug filled with shimmering blue water.
