Twins from the “Pantheon” series (2026) Original Oil Painting by Anja Rudko

38 x 32 x 5cm (framed) / 38 x 32cm (actual image size)

£954.83

Oil on canvas, artist-painted wooden frames
18 × 24 cm each (diptych)
Framed size: approx. 32 × 38 cm each

Two white borzois face each other against an intense pink background — not as mirrored figures, but as two presences caught in an endless conversation.

This diptych was inspired by the myth behind the Gemini constellation: two brothers who could not bear separation, even after death. One was mortal, the other immortal. And when one of them died, the other asked to share his immortality so they could remain together.

I wanted these paintings to feel like that kind of bond — something beyond symmetry or decoration. A connection stronger than distance, time, or logic. Quiet, instinctive, almost mythological.

Each piece can exist on its own, but together they become a dialogue.

The bright monochrome frames are hand-painted by the artist and are part of the work itself, turning the diptych into an object somewhere between painting, fashion image, and contemporary icon.
