When painting this scene, I wanted to capture the gentle, almost magical atmosphere of an evening tea in the garden. The soft lantern light falling over the table, pastries, and flowers creates a quiet, romantic glow. I used lively highlights to express the shimmering light, deep tones to strengthen contrast, and loose strokes to suggest the furniture and surroundings—balancing reality with a dreamlike softness. My aim was to let viewers feel the calm and warmth of that illuminated moment.
