Here I have been pursuing the merits of a quinacridone pink ground for oils. Also, I was challenging myself to vary the brush sizes, the mark making and the largely unsaturated colour. It was an interest of mine also to explore colour values and try to make a picture first and a “painting of something” second. Pink, blue and green to me are the colours of summer, my favourite season for plein aire painting.
