Original artwork description
This canvas is the first of the Kyiv series, painted to order. I was born in Kyiv, this is my hometown. Andreevsky Spusk is called Kyiv Montmartre and this is not accidental. The pedestrian street connecting the upper city of Vladimir and the lower Podil blooms with many millions of colors of artwork and crafts on weekends. The architecture of this area is also unique, among which, of course, St. Andrew's Church is a significant and dominant one. The hilly terrain fully reveals the urban landscape of heaps of roofs of houses and buildings of different eras and conditions. As an architect, I've had untold pleasure working on this series, which includes three canvases.
