Original artwork description
Amid the ongoing war, art remains a powerful voice of resilience. My triptych, now on display and available for purchase at Kanapa Restaurant, a renowned venue in Kyiv known for its unique atmosphere and Ukrainian cuisine, captures the timeless beauty of the Carpathian Mountains—a symbol of strength and serenity in uncertain times.
These three paintings, each 70x70 cm, are painted in an impressionistic style with confident brushstrokes and vibrant colors. Initially created as standalone works, I later decided to present them as a triptych, though they can also be displayed separately.
The exhibition and restaurant has drawn notable attention, and during his recent visit to Ukraine, Boris Johnson stopped by and took a photo with my paintings in the background. For me, this photo is deeply symbolic. We are living through a historic and incredibly difficult time—under daily attacks, with entire cities wiped off the map and an unbearable loss of life. Yet, when politicians from other countries visit us, even former leaders, it gives us hope that we will not be left alone in this fight against a terrifying enemy.
If you are in Kyiv, I invite you to visit Kanapa Restaurant to experience the spirit of the Carpathians—a reminder of the beauty and resilience that endure, even in times of war.
