This painting is titled "Tree of Life" not so much because of the tree-like concentration of lines that run through the center and "branch" off at the top, but because of the immense energy that is caught in the movement of the lines and in the density of marks that derive from my having painted several layers. I worked through adding and subtracting, rubbing out, sketching in, scratching, dripping, and so on, until finally satisfied. The dominate lines are in a pale turquoise metallic, as are some of the more circular droplets. There are pink lines and areas of pale magenta, as well as teal, blue, rose, and lavender. Framed in a simple silver canvas floater, this square acrylic painting on canvas is signed and dated on the back and ships with a digitally-registered Certificate of Authenticity.
