LARGE-SCALE ORIGINAL PAINTING ON CANVAS
A large fanciful waterscape with abstract shapes and vivid colors. The gestural brushwork brings a sense of the movement and energy of water. Travels Over Water was made with acrylic paint and colored pencil on canvas. It was made on un-stretched canvas which can be stretched on a stretcher frame for hanging.
I paint my larger works on un-stretched canvas to avoid the high expense of shipping a large pre-stretched painting, which enables me to give the buyer a much better price. The canvas is 6” larger than the actual image, 3” on all 4 sides, to allow extra canvas to staple onto the back of the stretcher frame in a gallery wrap. It can be shipped rolled in a tube or box. To cover the cost of stretching, the price is reduced $300.00.
