Original artwork description:

“You always carry it, don’t you?” the traveler asked.
“Who?” the Swan replied.
“The heart that wanders, the one left behind by the world.”
“Sometimes it drifts too far, lost even to memory,” the Swan’s voice faded.
“And now… what becomes of it?”
“It sleeps, dreaming of a world that forgot it.”
The boat glided on.
The lake held the silence.

This painting is part of an ongoing series I began in 2013, exploring themes of wonder and belonging, transformation, and mystery.
This series is a quest - a search for spirit and identity, for a lost heart. The creatures that inhabit it are not merely animals. They are ancestors, storytellers, emblems of relationships lost and found. They act in allegory and play with irony. Sometimes they make us laugh. Sometimes they carry sorrow.
