Artist's description:
Transition...From darkness to light...that was what motivated me to paint this seascape. The moon yet to disappear and the sun almost getting ready to show up.
As I was painting, I saw a few black floaters that appeared in front of my right eye, I ignored and continued to paint only to realize by the evening that my retina in the right eye had detached and I had lost most of the vision in that eye. I had to fly to India from Muscat to have my emergency surgery the next day. Now, just after the surgery, I am recovering with positive thoughts, looking forward to regaining my vision to paint again..it will take time, but I am hopeful that it will happen. I do hope that light and dawn are around the corner. After all, the only thing that drives life is hope, doesn't it?
Transitions are hard, but not permanent.

Winsor Newton Oil colors done on stretched canvas with palette knife, sides painted with dark brown
