Cheerful blush pink and blue with beautifully illuminated grasses, perfect above a bed or a sofa! Infrared photography allows us to see the world illuminated by light invisible to the human eye. It reflects off foliage, creating a soft, otherworldly glow, and it is absorbed by water and sky, resulting in high-contrast images with an ephemeral, dream-like quality.
The Great Dunes Trail winds through the forest and then the dunes above the ocean in Truro, MA on Cape Cod. I photographed this scene using a 720nm infrared filter on a full-spectrum-converted camera.
