Original artwork description:

This pastel comes together through layered pigments on a textured surface. I attempted to express a lot, an emotional story, through very minimal linework. The drawing shows two figures, simple in form, set against a dark ground that lets the colors breathe and pulse. One figure gently leaning over the other. The application is meant to draw out the material presence and invite you to slow down and feel the space between shadows and colors, between the loss and the solace.
