Abstract Impressionist marshland painting, 100x100cm unframed and ready to hang.
I live near Rye, on the Kent/East Sussex borders in south east England. Towards Rye things become flat, otherwordly and marshy. It is very beautiful, with large skies and lots of wildlife. This piece is inspired by this local marsh landcape, the grasses, big skies and beautiful earthy colour are all part of a gentle, cohesive landscape.
I use beautiful quality acrylic paints, mostly Golden acrylic, and Lascaux, and a large variety of brushes and palette knives, to drip, wash, smudge and paint the surface of the canvas, to create a rich and varied painting.
This 100x100cm painting is unframed. It has white painted edges and is strung with picture cord ready to hang.
