Original artwork description:

Inspired by Zoe Harrison, a Red Roses rugby star known for her playmaking vision, precision kicking, and composure under pressure, the work honours her leadership and influence on the field. I wanted to capture her calm authority alongside the intensity of the game, reflecting the balance of control and power that defines her style of play.

Using oil paint for its richness and depth, I layered bold, textured strokes to create energy and movement while keeping the focus on her presence. The composition mirrors rugby’s shifting pace: moments of stillness erupt into dynamic action. This painting highlights not only the athletic skill of Zoe Harrison but also the resilience, determination, and inspiration that women’s rugby brings to a wider audience.

Created in summer 2025 for the Touchlines of Fortitude collection, this painting celebrates women’s rugby and resilience during the Women’s Rugby World Cup in Twickenham.
