This painting was inspired by seeing these beautiful agapanthus growing in the sand dunes.
Painted using a palette knife giving the painting lots of movement and texture.
I have added interest to the foliage by using collage pieces of painted paper.
Painted on a 4cm deep edge canvas, the painting continues around the sides.
