Original artwork description
I love the soft gentle appearance of old dogs there's something so precious about them so I thought I'd make a series of senior hound sculptures out of my handmade paper clay. This curious stripy hound is the third member and for obvious reasons I have named him Tiger although he is far from being a vicious killer!
I think the texture my paperclay has really lends itself to the almost organic feel and essence of these sculptures. Tiger measures H14 x W8 x D7 inches he has been painted with acrylic paints and sealed with glaze, his eyes and nose are bought to life with gloss garnish.
Attached to a wooden dark blue painted base Tiger would make a lovely gift for any dog lover or perhaps be the perfect statement piece for your home.
