Original artwork description
This figurative sculpture has been created from one whole blue 12" vinyl music record (Faith No More - "Digging The Grave"), and mounted upon a 20 x 10 x 2cm custom clear acrylic block. The neon yellow perspex rod has been custom formed. The liquid-like figure has been created using various heat sources. Fine art practice contrasts with modern materials.
Each figurative, contemporary sculpture from the "REmuse" series is sculpted from one whole 7" or 12" vinyl record, with nothing added and nothing removed from the original material - function becomes form.
