Original artwork description:

The expression on this portrait is so thoughtful, I wanted to somehow portray the girl emitting her thoughts across time and space. As a fan of pre raphaelite paintings I made her hair a flowing feature to add movement to the piece and suggested a coastal environment where she stands in solitary contemplation.
