This piece was inspired by a little taverna we stumbled across while driving around the Halkidiki region in northern Greece. It was perched up high, and I remember how peaceful I felt walking out onto the stone terrace which was shaded by a thick grapevine overhead. Below, was the sea, calm and blue.
There was something so peaceful about that scene: the cool shade, the bright light, the quiet clatter of chairs, and that calm blue water beyond the low stone fence. I wanted to capture that stillness and simplicity - how places like this can feel both wide open and incredibly intimate at the same time. It was the kind of place that stays with you long after the trip is over.
