This original mixed-media painting on canvas was inspired by the Monmouthshire countryside. In the foreground thistles dot the edge of the field - a rich source of nectar for wildlife, boosting biodiversity. In the distance golden wheat fills the field with crops. A dark green hedge melts into the horizon. Splatters of marbling inks, and highlights of silver leaf add areas of interest and detail.
The painting continues around the edges of the box canvas. No frame needed. This painting is strung with picture cord at the back, and is ready to hang.
