This whimsical, very Hair- Oriented painting was inspired by Marie Antoinette, and done in a period after my seeing the Film released a few years ago. I loved Marie Antoinette’s Huge, Towering Hairdos, colored with loads of silly or outrageous accessories. In this piece, the woman meets the gaze of the viewer, with an expression that seems to imply, “What are you looking at?” This canvas is painted around the edges, so it can be hung, unframed...
