Acrylic on canvas

Things Behind Walls is a striking study in concealment and revelation. A vivid expanse of pink dominates the canvas, at once playful and unsettling, interrupted by fragmented forms that seem to press forward from beneath the surface. Black-lined windows and shapes suggest glimpses into hidden spaces; hints of what lies beyond the wall, never fully disclosed.

Accents of white, blue, and crimson punctuate the pink field like coded signals, while drips and layered textures give the surface a restless energy. The composition carries a sense of voyeurism and mystery: are these portals, faces, or architectural echoes? The ambiguity is the point. It invites the viewer to sit with what is withheld as much as with what is shown.

The title amplifies this tension: walls protect, separate, and conceal, yet the human instinct is always to wonder what’s behind them. This painting embodies that curiosity, asking viewers to project their own stories into the gaps and silences.

Bold, enigmatic, and visually magnetic, Things Behind Walls transforms any space into a conversation between colour, form, and the unseen.
