Surreal dreamscape. The background is painted pink with wafts of clouds or mist arising from the section of vine or landscape which stretches out as new Spring growth, horizontally on the plane of the painting. The work is meant to symbolise new beginning and is painted with a celebratory, joyful palette. The landscape or vine section was achieved using a palette knife and is heavily impasto, contrasting with the blended oils of the ground.
