“There’s Something Quieter Than Sleep” invites the viewer into a luminous forest corridor where colour, texture, and light drift between reality and reverie. At the heart of the scene, a solitary deer stands in a haze of soft radiance, becoming a symbol of stillness and inner refuge. Layered impasto, scattered chromatic fragments, and shifting atmospheres create a sense of movement and gentle transition — as if nature itself were breathing. This work explores the quiet thresholds between the visible world and the serene landscapes within us.
