Built up of many layers of acrylic paint to create depth and texture. The surface has then been finished with metallic gold acrylic allowing texture and the underlying colours to show through. A painted and screen printed illustration of a hibiscus flower with hummingbird form the subject of the painting whilst splashes of neon pink and black spray paint add to the contemporary look.

In some cultural beliefs, a repeatedly appearing hummingbird is thought to bring love and healing energy to someone who is in need of a friend.
