Acrylic colour on on unbleached rice paper, 8 x 11 in, 21 x 27.5cm
Small projects in A4 size are great to work out ideas, and just as a way of keeping in touch with colour and paper. The simpler result can be quite refreshing. Here I was keen to get this bleeding colours result on the rice paper.
The close up picture gives a better sense of the paint, paper and the brush stroke…. although, close up on a small painting is a bit like studying it under a magnifying glass. .Then there’s the work in progress.
