Theatre Comedie is a surreal silk textile artwork about our theater of culinary extravaganza and everyday vaudeville. Here the theater of life unfolds as a small spectacle of dishes and strange props, where the worst thing is not knowing what actually seems funniest to you: two bilbokes, one clepsydra, a jabot, a spirograph or a blotter.
The work turns these everyday and absurd objects into stage characters and asks the viewer to decide, where performance ends and real life begins. Rich detail and precise drawing create a playful, densely composed image that invites slow looking and rewards attention to small elements.

The piece invites collectors to explore the essence of performance and humor through a poetically staged world of bizarre objects and theatrical references.
