This is a picture based on a photograph that I took at Wimbledon Dog racing before it closed down. Greyhounds are a challenge to capture as they pass by so fast.

On the painting I painted a dramatic sky to accentuate the speed of the winning dog. I also painted the dogs that the also rans fumbling anf struggling to accentuate the concept. I also used lush thick paint to accentuate the power of the image.

Winning, oh winning, what a sweet sound,
The feeling of victory, oh so profound.

With our heads held high, and our hearts singing.
For in this journey, we shall find,
The strength to conquer, and the will to shine.
