This is a small painting of the family home of famous poet Dylan Thomas, where he grew up at 5 Cwmdonkin Drive, Uplands, Swansea, Wales which has been restored to its original 1914 Edwardian condition. He wrote little about his family home. The title comes from the little he did write, "the windows were shut fast and the curtains drawn...".
