It sometimes happens that when the beginning of the summer is rainy, the grain falls under its own weight. People then feel particularly sorry as they watch their promised good year disappear and decay in front of their eyes. The parallel with life is intentional. Sometimes promises are broken and dreams come crashing down in the end.
