On this elongated canvas covered in gold leaf I have painted a large dark tree with the face of an old tree spirit grading the river bank. The red setting sun draws my view into the painting to the distant shore. This warm semi abstract painting conveys for me peace and acceptance of the cycles of life. The sides of the canvas are finished in black paint and it is ready to hang.
