The Time is Now (2024)Charcoal drawing
by Dominic Virtosu
£5,643.95
Original artwork description
"The Time is Now" is a romantic illustration - it hints toward a different era of art-making: an era of extreme theatrical mise-en-scene. Every aspect being meticulously controlled to render the most dramatic effect. Clouds, impeccably placed in the shimmering sky of the sunset hour; rays of light traversing the foliage of handpicked palm trees placed for effect in the most optimal place on the composition.
A gentle reminder of ancient times is present through the ruins of a Greek or Roman temple. All the elements are merging together to create a theatrical effect of beauty and harmony. The aim here is to rest the soul into a sense of comfort and familiarity - to please and to exude a balanced state of mind.
This work of impressive proportions is made on paper and will require framing for proper exhibition.
