Between matter and light, The Thresholds of Day reveals an openwork female body, fragile and powerful at the same time, as if suspended between two moments.
A sculpture of femininity between strength and delicacy
The sculpture ‘The Thresholds of Day’ is an exploration of matter. The technique of metal lace obtained by fusion creates a female bust where the void is as important as the solid.
The combination of steel and bronze brings depth, chromatic nuances and luminous vibrations. The mixture of grey steel and golden bronze evokes the first light of dawn, justifying its evocative title.
Each opening and each relief is handcrafted, making this sculpture unique.
