Drawing inspired by Saint Clare of Assisi (1194–1253) who, before she died, dictated her Testament: a vibrant praise to God and a heartfelt exhortation to the Poor Sisters to continue on their path of faith. At the end of her days, Clare's last wish was to see the Pope approve that form of life she had composed and lived for so long in the footsteps of Christ, through the mediation of the example of St. Francis, to whom she dedicated the first words of the legislative text she composed and which was approved by Pope Innocent IV on August 9, 1253, a few days before her death. In my work, ink comes to life with expressive strokes that reveal the depth of the human being. I sought a balance between realism and abstraction to evoke pure emotions. This creation is a dance of shadows and light, where minimalism meets figurative art, inviting reflection. It will bring an energy to the home that stimulates introspection and inner dialogue.
