The Sweet Breath of Morning (2024) Original Oil Painting by Christina Ridgeway

40 x 55 x 2.5cm (unframed) / 40 x 55cm (actual image size)

£886.85

This is an original oil painting by the artist Christina Ridgeway. It is painted on high quality Belgian linen with professional grade oil paints, and is sealed with Gamlin Gamvar. The painted will be signed with initials on the front, with a larger signature and date on completion on the back.

This painting was inspired by chaotic changes that happen throughout life, and how I personally have tried to plant seeds for a brighter future along the way.
It is special to me because the concept was originally born many years ago, before a huge shift and move I made. I reimagined the concept to reflect how I felt now, going through similarly unsettling times.
I added European robins, to be guides for the girl holding her seedlings, perhaps warning her of the gathering storm behind her, or beckoning her forward to sunnier days.

This painting will be shipped from my home studio with insurance and tracking, to make sure it arrives safely in its new home! If you have any questions about the artwork, don't hesitate to get in touch.
