The Summer Serenade
In a garden bright with flowers,
Under a tree,
Three musicians play with glee.
The quirky guitarist, in his checkered trousers, tapping his foot along joyfully.
All three musicians deliver sounds of perfect harmony.
It fills the air from here to Sicily.
The sweet girl with her rosy cheeks and fiery hair, with her friends, create melodies so sweet and grand,
That banish all worries, good and bad.
It's a lively garden party,
A serenade to the summer,
So long awaited.
On the postbox sits a feathery onlooker, his eyes gleaming,
Hoping to grab some bait, he is scheming.
Oh, the joyous notes in the sunshine and the shade.
A merry, musical parade.
