Landscape of Auvergne, France.

The Sumène is a small river that winds its way along the foot of rocky cliffs, in the shade of the woods. In summer, its calm flow glides over the rocks, murmuring softly. But after a storm, the river wakes up, the current rolling the pebbles. I tried to capture this joyful flow under the light filtered through the trees one summer morning.

The white finish of the sides of the canvas allows, if you wish, a hanging without a frame.

Materials used:

This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas. I prepare myself my canvases to create a texture specific to my painting needs and to insure them maximum longevity.
