Original artwork description
I painted this street at the hour when the sun was already hiding behind the old rooftops, and the air was filled with silence and the scent of summer. I was captivated by this house with its unusual roof, as if it had been keeping the memories of many generations. But the true hero of the painting for me became the pink rose bush by the wrought-iron fence — vibrant, bright, and free. Its blossoms seemed to glow against the calm sky and the aged walls. I applied the paint in thick brushstrokes, trying to capture not the precision of lines, but the breath of the street and the movement of light. Every shade of pink and blue was born intuitively, from mood and memory. I wanted the viewer to feel the warmth of this place and hear the quiet rustle of leaves. The street appears empty, yet it holds someone’s past and someone’s love. In the old window, in the stones of the pavement, in the shadows of the trees, there is a story that cannot be told with words. And the pink rose bush became for me a symbol of life that always finds its place even among old walls.
