This work was executed as a way to capture the essence of winter with the bare and hollow tree, yet also alluded to the approaching spring with the wolf coming out from the hollow tree and with the two blooming branches. The sense of translucence in the colouring conveys the freshness of the upcoming spring.

The Wolf represents loyalty, family, communication, wisdom, teaching, and intelligence. In nature, Wolves are pack animals with excellent communication and body language skills needed for hunting and protection.
