The Sound of Snow 1 is a larger un-stretched canvas print from an original set of two smaller 8"x8" collage paintings capturing the stillness of a winter landscape, where bare trees and soft snowfall create a sense of calm and quiet reflection. Subtle texture and muted tones, express the feeling of a snow covered ground and the gentle rhythm of trees resting through winter. I often take photos of the surrounding trees of our home and use them in my collage work. Crows, flocks of field birds, wild grasses, and trees are images I love to use. This print is part of a larger series I am working on and thoroughly enjoying, finding stillness in an often chaotic, loud world.
The reproductions could be displayed without framing, if desired. They will come with a generous border to allow easy stretching or they can be framed flat in a frame of your choice.
