The Silent Pact (2026) Original Oil Painting by Veronica Ciccarese

£1,215.66
Original artwork description
In the Chinese Zodiac, the Horse is a symbol of overwhelming energy, freedom, and independence. In a year destined to be fast-paced and dynamic, my painting is an invitation to pause, to trust one’s deepest senses, and to remain undeterred by external chaos.
For the Year of the Horse, I chose to portray not the gallop, but a silent pact. In a time that rushes toward the abyss with eyes wide open, the paradox of salvation lies in closing one’s eyes to truly see again; in halting one's step so as not to lose the path.
By withdrawing sight from instinct, we allow deeper senses and intuition to become our guide. To stop is not to surrender, but rather the only way to avoid losing one’s way amidst the world’s clamor. It is an act of spiritual resistance that transforms blindness into vision and stillness into a higher form of journey
