Acrylic Painting depicting a Shieling in the Scottish highlands.
A Shieling is a small cottage or shelter where crofters or herders would shelter or seek refuge whilst herding sheep or cattle in the Scottish highlands.
A rare landscape for me- no sea anywhere but I couldn't resist a loch in the background.
More colour in here than usual too makes a nice change for me.
The painting is coated in two coats of protective varnish.
The name Shieling is also the name of my house in skye and it is my first painting of 2025.
