Original artwork description
"The Shape of Things" is a bold, statement-making abstract that plays with simplicity and depth through a refined palette and layered surface. Set against a rich black background, off-white forms are outlined with subtle earthy tones, creating a gentle tension between contrast and harmony.
Built up through multiple layers of paint, the surface carries a quiet richness from the visible brushwork and subtle texture. While working on it, I was reminded of Matisse’s cut-outs, where shape becomes the primary language, yet here the hand-painted quality keeps it grounded and expressive.
Medium: Acrylic paint on gallery grade Italian cotton canvas.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity.
The artwork was painted on un-stretched canvas, with a 7-8 cm border left for stretching onto a canvas frame. This artwork is shipped rolled in a tube for safe international delivery and can be affordably stretched at your local framing store.
