Original artwork description
The sacredness of the temple, depicted by ancient priestesses embracing each other. The symbolic act of women embracing each other — and in particular priestesses — also conveys the idea of sacred sisterhood, of cyclical and lunar energy that is renewed in the encounter. We could say that in that embrace, the temple is no longer just a physical place, but becomes the very body of the women, the circle they form, the breath they share.
In other words: the temple is within them, and their union brings it to life.
