series exploring the natural beauty and typical structures in the Müllerthal-Region, Luxembourg, Europe.

The Roots to the Sky explores the silent tension between earth and ascent.
An ancient tree rises from exposed roots that grip the ground with sculptural intensity, while its branches fracture the sky in restless lines.

Rendered in black and white, the photograph reduces the scene to structure, contrast, and gesture. The tree becomes less a subject than a presence — a living axis between weight and elevation. The exposed roots echo the branching above, suggesting continuity rather than opposition.

The image is not landscape as scenery, but structure as existence.
A study of endurance.
A quiet insistence of growth.

In its vertical movement and dense texture, The Roots to the Sky reflects on resilience and origin — on the understanding that every upward gesture remains bound to what sustains it.
