The Road to Vienna 30'' x 22'' inch. ( 76x56 cm) 2026 watercolor on fine paper 300g/m2 rough
I made this painting on location, plein air technique, the last spring in 2 sessions of painting same time, same spot, different days.
The artwork depicts the street Vídeňská ulice, a main road in the city of Brno, second largest city in Czech Rep. With an ultra modern building on the right background, called Viviena II, a contemporary architecture project with dynamic shapes, elliptic terraces and oval curved lines, in contrast with a tower of a traditional church of the left. This contradiction inside the structure of vision, is part of my artistic research when I approach a subject to paint on location.

The painting tries to render the energy and feelings of the place, with a technique wet on wet.

Artwork will come signed, dated and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity .

Materials used:

Watercolor Paper Saunders Waterford 300gm rough, Watercolors Schmincke
