“The Reverse Side of Presence” is the third painting in the “Don’t Look” series, which explores themes of femininity, multiplicity, and fragmented identity. The work has been exhibited multiple times across Europe as part of the art project “Femininity” and received high recognition from art critics.

In this painting, the female figure is deprived of stability and a fixed center. The forms appear inverted in relation to the viewer — like reflections that have lost their mirror. Presence here is not asserted through clarity or structure; instead, it is questioned and destabilized. The figures avoid eye contact, refusing direct affirmation or confrontation.

The work investigates the space between emptiness and fullness — a state where identity is fluid, unstable, and divided into multiple layers. Femininity is presented not as an external image or role, but as an inner condition capable of holding silence, contradiction, and plurality.

This painting reflects on presence perceived through distortion rather than form — on a human state that exists without claiming visibility, certainty, or definition.
