I was struck originally by the lovely light falling across this red bricked building in various strips of shadow.
Then I noticed the name "The Retreat" and I thought that this must be a spiritual, Buddhist-type retreat, before realising that this was indeed a pub.
I laughed to myself that this is ironically also a place of quiet reflection and contemplation. A different type of retreat from the world.
