The pressure between gestures (2025)Acrylic painting
by Daniel Bulimar Henciu
£1,905.2
Original artwork description
“The work explores the human body as a zone of tension, located between emergence and dissolution. The figures do not function as characters, but as traces of a gesture subjected to the pressure of the pictorial environment. They are fragmented, deformed and suspended in an unstable space, where movement and matter overlap.
The painting is built through accumulation and erasure, through overlaps that refuse a fixed form. The gesture becomes the main agent of transformation, and the color acts as a field of forces that compresses, displaces and destabilizes the body. Between the figurative and the abstract, the work proposes a state of continuous tension, in which the meaning remains open.”
